Racing & Testing Opportunities With Revolution Racing
ASCAR Racing Team Tests
At Revolution Racing we are settling into the swing of things racing in the European late Model series over in Belgium, seat time can now be offered in one of our V8’s around Warnerton Speedway, there’s never been easier time to drive an ASCAR.
Our own Lee “Tractor-Boy” Maddox has shown how easy it is, he has no race licence, not passed an ARDS test and before his first excursion at Warnerton in May and had never competed in a competitive race in his life. Now, although we would not like to put anyone in the car with no experience at all we did know that Tractor had many outings in karts, mostly winning, along with driving our ASCARs at many non-competition events before being let loose in a race. However, anyone will be considered for the Friday morning training and, if our instructors are happy and you agree, driving solo in the afternoon test session is our aim for you.
ASCAR Testing (Friday)
Rookie Test Day on a Friday before a meeting includes:
- Use of a Revolution Racing ASCAR
- Fuel and tires
- Hospitality during the day for a party of 4
- Shared time in the seat during the 5 hours of allowed track time
- Dedicated and experienced personnel to train you
Test Day Schedule
You will need to be at track for 9am, the last run is by 5pm with lunch at 12-2pm.
The first 2 hours will be training with our instructors and the 3 hours after lunch you may run solo or carry on with training.
ASCAR Race Day Package
Of course, once you have driven solo you may wish to compete in a race and we are more than happy to oblige, if our instructors agree!!
Race weekend costs include:
- Testing on Saturday, 2hrs in the morning and afternoon sessions (4 hrs in total)
- Race day comprises of 3 races, normally 2 X 25 laps and a longer last race of 35+ laps
- There is a 14 tire allowance per season; you would receive at least 2 new
- Full Fuel allocation
- Hospitality for a party of 4
- Dedicated crew
- Space on the car for your sponsors
Damage we have to allow for, normally we ask for a cash deposit payable back after the last race if no major damage occurs. We do expect slight damage and this is acceptable in the scheme of things. For instance Tractor crashed Tony’s car shaking it down in Friday testing (stuck throttle), there is no charge for labour, it took the team 7 hrs to fix using around £850 of parts, Tony then went out and won on the Sunday.
