Revolution Team Principal Duane Kidd Delivers Engineering Skills That Boost Your Productivity

As part of the REVOLUTION INC umbrella Duane works in partnership with INTER-UK ENGINEERING, a Suffolk firm specialising in its work on HGVs.

The bread and butter products manufactured at the Croft Works facility is that of Chassis, Axle and wheelbase work, axle's new or old are fitted to existing or newly extended chassis. All work is certified and is supplied in a primer state ready for each customer's top coat.

Skilled Engineering Services

Duane works with highly skilled personnel who, as well as chassis work, manufacture high spec flatbed bodies which may incorporate single or double cranked beavertails, twist locks, cranes, winches, lockers, tow hitches and hydraulically operated ramps depending on customers requirements.

Duane's skills have been honed over the years by making quality products including bitchumen plants, steel buildings, fairground rides and BIG ride-on lawn mowers. An Apprenticeship at Bury St Edmunds-based Barber Greene UK leaves him trusted with all bespoke designs at Inter-UK, as well as making all the parts such as axle kits and ramps for his colleagues to work with.

One design that Duane is proud to have designed and produced is the "PEGUSUS RAMP". Inter-UK owner, Tony Ruffles, needed a set of ramps designed to not only fold down from a beavertail but also to fold back on themselves to form a regular flat bed. Locking them into place was the main problem but this was overcome with hydraulically operated locking pins that form the basis of what is probably the best of its type on offer, so much so that over 40 sets now grace Inter-UK made bodies in Britain.
